Student Entrepreneur Testifies Before Congress

New Haven, Conn. — A Yale College student who is the co-founder of a recycling company testified to a Congressional committee Oct. 27 on the government's green initiatives in its informational technology departments.

Richard Littlehale '10 of Silliman College is chief executive of YouRenew.com, an electronics recycling company based in New Haven. He spoke to the House Oversight and Government Reform's Subcommittee on Government Management, Organization and Procurement about government policies to purchase energy efficient products.

"I'm honored to be given the chance to speak before Congress about YouRenew.com and our expanding services," said Littlehale, who was recently selected as one of Businessweek's "Top 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25." "It gives our company a lot of credibility that will be important as we plan to accelerate growth and roll out new services and initiatives in the next year."
