Let’s Get Physical

New Haven, Conn. — Fifty teams of high school students from across Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island converged on campus October 24 to compete in this year's Physics Olympics. Hosted by Yale's physics department since 1998 and funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the day-long event tests the students' deductive reasoning and creative thinking with five different challenges thought up by Yale physics faculty. The winners take home a trophy and medals.
